* Amount of feed required will vary depending on season, type of roughage, activity and desired body condition of horse.
** Pasture equivalent means similar dry matter intake.

F-R-M PARADIGM 14 PELLETS should be fed with a minimum of 1% of body weight per day of good quality hay or pasture equivalent.  Maximizing the contribution of forage reduces digestive upset.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  DO NOT FEED MOLDY OR INSECT-INFESTED FEED TO ANIMALS AS IT MAY CAUSE ILLNESS OR DEATH.

FEEDING TIPS:

Provide fresh clean water free-choice, except immediately following heavy exercise when the horse is hot.

Adjust feed intake to maintain desired weight and body condition.  Level of intake will vary depending on season, age of horse, type of forage in the diet, level of activity, and the general condition of the horse.

Feed by weight, not volume.

Do not feed more than 5 pounds of grain in a single feeding.  If feeding more than 5 pounds of grain, split into 2 or 3 equal feedings.

Make all feed changes over a 10 – 21 day period, gradually increasing the new feed while decreasing the current feed by equal amounts.

If you acquire a horse whose diet is unknown, feed them hay and reduce the feed ration to a third or half of what you would normally feed that type horse; then, gradually increase over a period of 2 – 3 weeks.

Never feed any feed stuffs that are moldy, musty or suspect in any way as it may cause illness or death.

WARNING:  Products which contain added copper should not be fed to sheep or related species that have a low tolerance level to copper.
